"Riley touts this duvet insert as being ‘the world’s most awarded and acclaimed comforter’ and commerce editor Audrey Lee further commends it: “It’s the perfect layer to pair with a quilt during particularly frigid weather but not too much once warmer temperatures roll around. The stitching also keeps all those feathers in place so you don’t have to worry about unsightly/uncomfortable lumping).” With extensive lines of bedding, bath, and wearables designed to bring moments of luxury into your everyday life, this white goose-down-filled comforter is definitely worth adding to your wish list. Plus, the brand partners with some of the world’s top textile mills and manufacturers to bring you the best prices on quality goods, so just know you’re getting something that’s well-made." Expert Opinion Down is a popular material for comforters because of its soft, fluffy, and insulating nature. This comforter is made with a 100 percent long-staple cotton cover, with a sateen weave, and filled with down, the soft and spineless feathers of the underbelly of geese. Riley follows the Responsible Down Standard, so this down is both ethically sourced and high-quality. The White Goose Down comforter comes in two variations: all-season and extra-warm. The all-season is 700 fill power and the extra warm is 750 fill power, so you can choose whichever is right for you. The filling is distributed evenly using baffle box stitching to prevent lumps. You can also attach a duvet cover to the loops or use it alone. What our tester says: “I was so impressed with how high-quality this comforter feels. It is really well-made and the down is just so cozy.” — Amelia Jerden, senior staff writer. Who the Riley White Goose Down Comforter is Best for -

"The Riley Home Down Comforter was the best goose-down comforter we tested. The comforter offers two different weight options: All-season and Extra Warm. We tested the All-Season option and thought it was perfect for our sleep needs. The comforter is high-quality, with evenly distributed fill and no crinkling noise. It was also extremely comfortable to sleep with. The comforter came with a perfectly fitting plastic bag for storage purposes too. Instead of opening up on the top, which would make it difficult to squish the comforter into, it opened on the side, giving you more space to fold up the comforter and plop it in " CNN Underscored |

"It has a very soft long-staple cotton-sateen shell that feels luxurious to the touch. It definitely has more loft than the Brooklinen and Casaluna comforters I tested. It has a nice weight to it without being oppressive, which means that it’s warm but never overheating." New York Magazine |
