Weighty. It is, in a literal sense, on the heavier side. Almost like a lightweight weighted blanket. For insulation, it's probably more medium due to the somewhat chunky knit, which is fine by me. The chunky knit also lends a nice, moderate amount of stretch. Also, mine actually measured 2" longer than advertised at 72".
No, it doesn't have the softest feel ever if you drag the back of your hand over the ribs. The ribs and chunky knit kind of create the feel of "edges" on the surface. But it doesn't bother me when lounging.
Nice throw. I am an addict of sheets and blankets from Riley. Bought the throw wanting a light blanket for summer naps. Throw is heavier than I hoped but is fine. Color is perfect as usual. I’m still a fan!
Comfortable, but heavier than I'd like. I really like this throw. It has a good length, the color is absolutely beautiful, and it's really well made. I wish it was a bit softer of fabric, but I do like that it's a bit more textured so it feels like it's not going to fall apart like other ribbed throws I've had have done. It also doesn't shed or anything like that, which makes it a winner for a great throw blanket on a couch.

SO soft!. This might be my new favorite Riley throw! It's so soft and feels like your favorite Fall sweater. I bought this for a gift, and had to add it to my wishlist for myself.
